Grafton Ghost Town
The Ghost Town of Grafton is found just outside of the community of Rockville in southern Utah near Zion National Park. Settled in the early 1860's - the area's Native Americans forced the inhabitants of Grafton out of their community. The town was resettled in the 1870's and their still remains today a schoolhouse along with some other buildings. The town was built along the sandy banks of the Virgin River and the community struggled with occasional floods that broke down their irrigation structures and ruined crops. Be sure to visit the cemetery and learn of the fate of some of the residents of this small outpost.
