The towering monoliths of Zion Canyon await you while camping in Zion’s “backyard” at the Zion River Resort

Camping in Zion will be more comfortable and enjoyable when you choose to stay at the Zion River Resort. We offer tent sites, camper cabins, laundry facilities, a camper kitchen, hot showers, a convenience store, and a gift shop. When not exploring Zion or the surrounding area’s scenery, our guests enjoy swimming in our outdoor pool, soaking in our hot tub, playing in our game room or watching a movie in surround sound at our social hall. Camping in Zion’s crown jewel of campgrounds, Zion River Resort, our guests find new friends. We host regular social gatherings, educational presentations and holiday celebrations that make our guests feel like one big happy family!

Camping in Zion National Park’s immediate vicinity at Zion River Resort gives you easy access to Zion Canyon, the park’s most visited area. The canyon is home to rock monoliths that reach heights of up to 2,000 to 3,000 feet above the canyon floor, including notables such as the Court of the Patriarchs, Angels Landing and the Great White Throne. While camping in Zion’s vicinity, you cannot miss the opportunity to hike a few of the park’s scenic trails, which range from a ¼-mile ascent to hanging gardens to the 2.5-mile climb to the top of Angels Landing, which provides an amazing birds-eye view of the canyon.

Camping in Zion’s surrounding area also provides the opportunity to explore other area scenic and historic attractions. If you want to see prime examples of southern Utah’s signature Red Rock scenery, do not miss Red Cliffs Recreation Area and Snow Canyon State Park, both of which are less than an our from your Zion camping accommodations at the Zion River Resort. Only a few miles away, near Rockville, you will find Grafton, a ghost town famous for its inclusion in the film “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” Near Red Cliffs are the remnants of Silver Reef, a 1870s mining boomtown, and St. George is home to two restored pioneer residences and majestic structures built by early settlers that are still in use today, including the St. George Temple and St. George Tabernacle. Camping in Zion’s environs is a rewarding vacation experience for all ages.
