Zion River Resort’s location only 13 miles from Zion’s south entrance makes it a convenient Zion Park camping headquarters. We provide our camping guests with tent sites and camper cabins, as well as restrooms with hot showers. Our camping guests enjoy hiking Zion’s many trails, biking along the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive and Pa’rus Trail, and riding the shuttle up the canyon while listening to interesting narration about the park’s geology, history, and wildlife from shuttle drivers. When you choose Zion River Resort as your Zion Park camping spot, you will have a pool, a spa and a game room to return to after a day of exploring the park. We also offer our guests regular social gatherings, holiday celebrations and educational presentations. When camping with us, you feel like family!
Zion boasts spectacular scenery, but exploring its incomparable landscapes should not be the only thing on your Zion Park camping vacation itinerary. Visiting the Zion Human History Museum, the first stop of the Zion Canyon Shuttle, enriches park visitors’ experience through its recollection of the stories of the park’s Native Americans and early settlers as well as the park’s development and growth. The museum also presents a half-hour video presentation chronicling Zion Park history. Another film presented in the area that is worth viewing is “Zion Canyon: Treasure of the Gods” at the Zion Canyon Giant Screen Theater, located adjacent to the park’s south entrance. Guided hikes and ranger programs are another way you can add depth to your Zion Park camping trip.
Your Zion Park camping trip based at Zion River Resort can also include other nearby national park areas within easy driving distance, including Cedar Breaks National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park and Grand Canyon National Park. There are also many state parks within an hour drive, including Snow Canyon State Park, Sand Hollow State Park, and Quail Creek State Park. Another scenic attraction that is a showcase of signature southern Utah red rock scenery is Red Cliffs Recreation Area, a fantastic red rock canyon containing several pools of water. There is scenery galore awaiting you on your Zion Park camping vacation!
